transparent procedural texture in the viewport
Possibly we have ever wanted to put textures with procedural transparency in the viewport of blender to see a quick preview. But is complicated because we had to generate the images in Photoshop or gimp save with the alpha channel in PNG and then imported into blender.Well this tutorial teaches how to avoid this step. The process would be:
Create a plane and you put a texture with alpha.
Then bake the texture and put it in the UVImage Editor.
In edit mode select the face and activate the button Alpha.
